The United States has signed many treaties with foreign countries designed to promote trade and investment. Treaty Foreign Nationals, individuals residing in countries with which the U.S. has made such an agreement, are eligible to obtain the following types of visas:
E-1 Trade Investment Visa
An E1 Investment visa allows one to travel to, live and work here in the United States for an extended period of time. The E1 is specifically designed for individuals who are coming to the U.S. for the purpose of carrying on substantial trade, chiefly between the United States a particular Treaty County. The E1 is usually granted to executives, managers or key personnel in supervisory positions for a company operating in the U.S. or being established in the U.S. or to those individuals with special skills.

E-2 Investment Visa
The two most common uses of the E2 Visa are Investors and their Senior Management Team or essential personnel possessing special skills. A Foreign National Investor must own at least 50% of the business, make a significantly proportional investment, invest a substantial amount of capital and be actively involved in the business venture. The spouse of an E2 Investor is eligible for a Work Permit to work inside or outside the Investment Enterprise. E2 Visas must be extended every five (5) years with no limit in extensions, provided the Investment Enterprise is ongoing.

EB-5 Investment Green Card
The EB5 Investment Visa is designed for those Investors with sufficient resources to petition themselves and their families for Permanent Residency. To qualify an Investor must generally make a minimum investment of $1 Million ($500,000 in qualifying locations) and must create at least ten (10) new U.S. jobs, and manage the day to day operations of the enterprise. This may also include the purchase of an existing business. Conditional Green Cards will be issued to the Investor, spouse and children under 21 years of age.
